Application Engineering

Description

As an applications engineer, you support our customers in all matters related to our products and services and supervise smooth customer support in more than 140 countries. In training sessions for customers and co-workers, you convey your knowledge regarding the use of our equipment and are involved in the development of new products.

What you bring to the table

The range of responsibilities require completed training or a degree in electrical engineering or energy engineering. Flexibility, organizational skills and an openness to other cultures are key.

 

COMMERCIAL DIVISIONS

Description

What you bring to the table

You have successfully completed commercial training or have a degree from a commercial secondary school, apprenticeship, college or university, and ideally have relevant professional experience. You demonstrate a clear sense of commitment and have good language skills.

 

HARDWARE DEVELOPMENT

Description

You are part of a project team, working in a product development process with various disciplines. These include the development and construction of analog, digital and power electronics modules, mechanics layouts for printed circuit boards and firmware for micro controllers, DSPs and FPGAs. Our development process begins with an innovative product idea followed by concept, design, development, tests and the transition to production. Maintenance and servicing tasks are additionally required to ensure the product lifecycle, quality and safety. As a project manager you coordinate our complex processes or you lead our interdisciplinary team meetings as the moderator.

What you bring to the table

You are interested in electronics, mechanics layouts or firmware, along with teamwork. You are prepared to keep developing your technical and personal skills and you have a passion for your tasks within the project. Depending on the position, you need previous experience in electronics, software, mechanics or moderation/project management and interpersonal skills.

INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Description

In the Information Systems Team, you have the opportunity to work as a Client Administrator, a System Administrator, or a Business System Administrator, getting to install, configure, and maintain IT applications. You will also oversee infrastructure and assist with the development of new systems. In addition, you will lead projects and will coordinate external partners.

What you bring to the table

You have completed an education in IT and, depending on your main area of focus, have experience with various operating systems, PC hardware and business applications, as well as solid analytical skills. Ideally, you understand system networks, storage, VMware, Citrix, SQL, Exchange or SharePoint, MS Dynamics AX, MS Dynamics CRM, or MS SQL Server. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Description

As a member of marketing communications team, you develop and create communication and promotional concepts for our products and services along a broad range of communication channels. This position entails analyzing the target groups, providing tools of communication and conveying the advantages of our products. You will work in an international network and support our global sales organizations in promoting our solutions.

What you bring to the table

The requirements for marketing communications positions depend on the specific range of required duties. Experience in PR work and solid copywriting skills are key. You know your way around visual design and digital media or event management, and you have outstanding communication skills. Additional language skills and an interest in electrical engineering are preferred.

 

MATERIALS MANAGEMENT

Description

Materials management is made up of various teams. Technical purchasing works directly with projects in development to ensure that the materials needed for prototypes and pilot series are available as soon as they are needed. This team also supports our external production partners in procuring critical components. Our warehousing team is an in-house service provider, ensuring that the components required for electronics production and projects in development are always readily available.

What you bring to the table

Commercial know-how combined with a good technical knowledge base and a willingness to work in larger teams are important qualities in technical purchasing.
The warehousing and dispatch team needs members who can work precisely under considerable time pressure. You must also be prepared to creatively handle unusual customer requests, as well as take on special assignments. Precision, speed, and flexibility are needed to ensure that we are always stocked to deliver.

 

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

Description

As a product manager, you accompany products from inception to launch, and accompany them throughout their lifecycle. This position also entails planning projects, defining the product requirements and remaining in close contact with our staff and customers.

What you bring to the table

You have a degree in electrical engineering or energy engineering, as well as business management know-how. You are flexible and enjoy travel. All this and good communication make for the ideal candidate.

 

SALES

Description

As a sales representative, you help us sell our products and services. You advise our customers and use your specialized knowledge to find the best solution. Your duties also include presenting our products to customers at their places of business, at trade fairs, and at conferences.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Description

As a software developer, your responsibilities lie in the development process for the creation of our software. This process consists of the original concept, architecture, design, implementation, and aspects of the automated quality assurance and maintenance. Guided by well-coordinated development methods, you work in teams with other developers including programmers, specialists in quality assurance and testing, and possibly with GUI designers and usability experts.
We create all kinds of software for our products, such as embedded software within our test equipment (Linux / C++), network software, PC applications (C# / .NET or C++ / MFC), database and client/server applications.

What you bring to the table

You love software development, enjoy teamwork, and are eager to constantly learn more. You have sound computer science education or the corresponding professional experience.

TEST EQUIPMENT DEVELOPMENT

Description

As a test equipment development employee, you work closely with the hardware and software development teams in developing test facilities for electronic serial products. In this capacity you are responsible for the concept, development, development, maintenance and documentation of test facilities. You will conduct analyses, assessments and documentation of the measurement results for the improvement of the test facilities and products. You will be actively involved in optimizing the production feasibility of serial products and will continuously expand your knowledge base relating to applications and technology.

What you bring to the table

For test equipment development, you need to have successfully completed your degree in electronics (e.g., Austrian higher technical institute, vocational university, technical college). You are reliable and conscientious, you have a high level of quality awareness and an excellent understanding of electronic circuitry, along with an interest in software development (C#) for the automation of test facilities.

USABILITY & DESIGN

Description

As a member of the user experience team you work either as an interface designer or a usability engineer. As an interface designer you are responsible for the visual design of our software products and the development and maintenance of our style guide. As a usability engineer you establish a user-centered-design process and support the development teams in each phase.
You will help to create truly stunning applications that have a real impact in the daily routine of our customers.
